Nuggets you should know

Lotsa fun people in the news these days.

And I'm sure you've heard of our first person, Paris Hilton.

Maybe you WISH you hadn't heard of her, but *bleah* she is in the news, much to her chagrin (for a change).

Contradictory to past behavior, Paris claims she will "stop acting dumb," but I say old habits are hard to break, especially when one's parents have obviously dropped the disciplinary ball.

Good luck though, Paris. And thanks for reminding us that real people need a purpose in life, for which waiting on Dadsy and Mumsey to depart this world so you can inherit the family fortune does not qualify.

One hates to increase the already too, too much coverage of this supposed "story," except to lament that the so-called media's moonstruck interest demonstrates what Harvey Levin told GMA (Good Morning America), "This is the decline of Western civilization as we know it, and we're watching it live."

Not sure if ol' Harvey was referring to Paris or the media frenzy, but I guess it all applies.

And then there's Hugo Chavez.

Venezuela's elected leader turned Communist dictator asking his followers to give up any extra possessions. No wait, he demanded it.

So, to keep something "extra" is selfish, but forcing others to do your will is not.

Having covered the "dumb and selfish no more" people, we turn now to persons of spice.

Wild sausages of Germany, to be exact :-)

I'm all for innovative cookery, but hey, where's the chocolate variety?
