Well Folks...
...there'll be another trip to Mayo on Friday. Maybe that will be the last one.
Owing to poco sleepo and mucho headacheo last night, I drove Loren up to Rochester for another dressing change on his hot pocket...I mean, his dry socket.
This time when the doc flushed it out there was a bit of blood but that is a GOOD sign, for it means (according to el docco) that granulation is taking place.
That might not be the word....but it starts with a "g" and it means a protective barrier is FINALLY starting to form.
By Friday, the doctor is hoping to send Loren home with his very own syringe and only cleaning--not medicated dressings--will be needed.
As to his virus, there are still a few lingering symptoms but they are fading, though slower than we'd hoped.
Loren stayed home from church on Sunday but did get out of bed for a bit in the afternoon, to get the mower in shape for the summer. That wore him out.
And SPEAKING of the mower, we arrived home this afternoon with time for me to get out and put that baby to good use :-)
Ah has sniffed the sweet, sweet smell of greeny cut grass! And just in time, as the last vestiges of winter had pert near withered the gizzard of mah soul.

In birthday news, Ardith's is today :-)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ma chère!!
Can you believe she is 25 years old?
Don't worry, Ardith...it's only a quarter of a century. And when I turn 50 this September, it would seem appropriate that special celebratin' oughter be in order.
Who knows, maybe there will be a unique alignment of the stars in our honor.
In the meantime, I'd better go to bed and rest up.
