Trevor (sort of) Learns to Ride a Bike!

Welp, another milestone. Click on pictures to get the full effect.

Carolyn's been working off and on with Trevor and his bike. After more than a week or two off, this afternoon was hard at it.

First they go up to the top of Mr. Lupkes' drive, which has a slight grade down...
Older brothers watch with bated breath.

Then she runs along and finally lets go!


"Are you watching me, Mommy?"
Hmmmm, something seems to be missing...

Aha! Ma goes in and gets the helmet. It's from Goodwill and only has one pad missing on the inside.


YAYYYY! Everyone cheers for Trevor-the-Wonder-Bunny :-D


Time to get pushed back up the drive (he can't pedal back to the top, yet).


A green-shirted interloper wants to prove he can ride with no hands.


While others still have trouble with hands.
See, Trevor? THIS is why you wear a helmet.

This crack-up was rather spectacular, in that Trevor flipped completely over one time while falling. I missed that part due to temporarily blacking out...

He's a tough cookie. Got a little skinned up but never complained.

Carolyn's pretty worn out, though.

"Mommy, you never made us wear helmets..."

"We didn't have them when you were learning...and...and, your weren't such widdle bunnies."
