The Nolan Compact

I don't know where the idea came from--other than the Mayflower Compact, studied briefly much earlier in the school year--but Nolan drew this up, yesterday.

He was all excited over having finished his school earlier than usual, which came about due to starting earlier. It was an extraordinarily decent morning...

ANYWAY, he told me he was going to write up a "compact" and as usual, I didn't give it that much thought...(typed copy, below)


I don't know. I think he's serious. Or, at least he was for a coupla minutes.

Very ironic, all that talk about peace, heh, heh. He just epitomizes peace in real life. It wouldn't surprise me if some of this came off a computer game.

The "goodbye" at the end wasn't so much a promise of leaving, as just his way of finishing off the letter...er, compact.

Since the flash is busted on the camera, indoor pictures are iffy. I try to put things close to the window or underneath an overhead light. Still, rather pathetic, so I've included a typed version:

The Compact of Peace

With the Trilogy and the Power, I Nolan Senetor [sic] will become the greatest man on Earth. My Misson is to grow into a new world. with the Right and Honor I presume that it will be better. will the wars never cease?! will the crimes be extinct?! Oh in this ruined world there will be peace among us. I S. Nolan will conquer this crime! of all the earth! I say to you

We've been working on capitals in Nolan's grammar, but I notice he does not apply all the rules he uses correctly on his lessons...I believe punctuation comes next.

Of course, if he does come to rule the world, he won't have to worry about silly things like punctuation and grammar, as I believe most dictators are accorded very capable secretaries. One of the minor frills of office, dontcha know.

At least he has a goal in life.
