Weigh-In for the EMM

Yes, today was the first official weigh-in for this year's edition of Extreme Ma Makover.....

....*drum roll*....

Four Pounds!

Am I da Ma? I say, AM I DA MA?!

Let's see, that makes four pounds down and a half-gazillion to go. But I am pumped, baby!

I stumbled onto what might be a significant aid in losing weight: tea. I try to drink a cup before each meal, as an appetite suppressant. Apparently food is squeamish about drowning in the dark, weedy, recesses of Ma's stomach.

Then I'm inevitably lured by the copacetic effects of Chamomile and top off the day with a soothing cup or two. This pretty much ensures the need to postpone bedtime for the finalization of any necessary ablutions brought about by tea exuberance. The inevitable result in this chain of dominoes? Sleeping in, whereby all the kids are forced to obtain their own breakfast.

Ma wins!

On the agenda for today: clearing out the driveway. Should take a good 4-6 hours, even with a crew of five able bodies (the two with heart problems aren't allowed to shovel snow, any more).

However, I believe we'll wait until the temperature rises above zero.

Should knock off another calorie or two!
