Every once in a while, my lack of technological skill comes in handy.

For example: last week, having entirely filled the little camera card-thingy that holds the pictures, I downloaded the unsaved ones onto our network, and then proceeded to delete the card. Or so I thought.

Apparently, there are still pictures on the card. But that is good, since we cannot access the network, for some reason. SO, I could still post a beautiful sunset picture from a couple of weeks ago.

I ran across something quite interesting. A number of pictures that I had not taken. Hmmmm, this must be from the time I caught two little boys messing with my camera. I had already wrung a confession out of the guilty party, but it was most amusing to see that he had taken various pictures of himself, making implication QUITE beyond a shadow of a doubt. It took a while to delete those one by one, and the pics taken in movie mode-which, I do not even know how to DO-took even longer.

Today, after three days break from the diet-mode, I am starting up another 11 day cycle. The results from the first one were thus:

scale report: (on the twelfth day) down 4 pounds :-) This made a net loss of 8 pounds. There was quite a bit of jumping around, and I discovered later, that one is not supposed to check weight every day. After three straight days of being stuck "up" two pounds, I'd agree. Now I'm not going to weigh in until the end of this 11 days. Besides, Loren took the scales with him :-)

cheat report: I didn't. Not even one chocolate. I knew that if I did, I might not stop. And, I didn't wish to go down in flames in front of everyone.

mental acuity report: A few dumb things here and there, but overall, no worse than usual. (though, you might have to check with the family, to be sure)

This I am certain of: that chocolate sure tasted swell after going without for 11 days.
