Safely in Chicago
Loren, that is.
He is there until late Friday afternoon when he will drive home. His furlough lasts until Sunday noonish when he will drive back to Chicago for a second week.
While at training he will be forced to subsist on ten dollars for breakfast, ten for lunch, and a mere twenty-five for supper. (bring me some take-out)
He'll be somewhat lonely, but at least he has his laptop :-D

Good -- a break from that grueling schedule. And probably only a few minutes' walk from class to motel room. With a laptop, too! I'll bet he could get used to this, except being away from the family. Do they have an exercise facility available?

There's an excercise room somewhere in the hotel. Loren goes on the treadmill.
...and maybe if I get caught up on my sleep and can find a swimming suit this time of year, I'll even try the indoor pool!

the thought of:

or
-you going swimming....
