YIKES!
And again I say, "WHOA, BABY !"
Meet Nikolay Valuev, (courtesy of the LA Times and Drudge) who hails from Russia. At 7 feet and 323 pounds he is the tallest, heaviest and Neanderthalist of heavyweight boxers. EVER. Oddly enough, he has never lost a fight.
He also reads Tolstoy and writes poetry, though I'm not sure who would dare to dispute that....
To temper this "kinder, gentler" side is a controversy.
But my main question is: shouldn't that guy on the right be awarded something....like a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, the Iron Cross or perhaps ALL THREE?
Oh yes.....Nicolay wants to box in America.

Along a parallel line comes this heartwarming story of survival. I can't decide which is more of a giggle--mention of the "80-million-year-old plant eater," or the scientist's "respect for the creature's will to survive...." (I'll just bet ol' Nicolay wouldn't have let it go in a field)
Personally, I wanna get a looksee at those "tiny pneumatic jackhammers."

Clean your senses out with this story. See? I'm not alone in touting the beneficial effects of opera. And just in time for yesterday's celebration of Mozart's birthday.
Calling all college students with undeclared majors....
I have two words to put forth: "Sheep Nutritionist."
What's not to love? Tweet
