Fun stuff for the day

  

This cartoon came to me from Jim Bishop, the Public Information Officer at Eastern Mennonite University. Jim was asked to write several tributes to Dad for different Mennonite magazines, and through the magic of email I received copies of his articles and this old cartoon. Jim superimposed Dad's name at the bottom, since it fit to a " T " the kind of reply Dad would have liked to give....all in fun.

As Ethan and I were reading about Henry Ford for yesterday's third grade history, we came across a couple of jokes that were told about Ford cars.....

I hear they're going to magnetize the rear bumper of the Ford.

Why would they do that?

So it can pick up the parts that fall off.

I don't need a speedometer. When my Ford is going five miles per hour, the hood rattles. When it goes 10 miles an hour, my teeth rattle. And when it goes 15 miles per hour, the engine falls out.

They say Henry didn't mind the jokes, since the popularity helped to sell more cars.
