Oh, that wacky Iowa weather
It snowed today. That was after the sleet and freezing rain of last night, but before the dense fog of now.
I'd take a picture, but...um....it's really hard to see. I'd noticed a little fog starting on the way to see "Curious George," and by the time we got out and started home, it was SO thick I was tempted to take refuge in McDonald's overnight :-)
I observed a few curiosities at the movies:
-they don't tell you to turn off your cell phone at kiddie flicks
-it's never really quiet with a hundred children in a room
-your 4-year-old will almost make it through the movie before he has to visit the bathroom....and when you get back with him, your 6-year-old will have to go.....and when you get back with HIM, the credits will be running.
-thought the old man's voice sounded particularly good and familiar. Dick Van Dyke is always a treat.
Next time I go to one of these things I'm bringing my knitting.
And I don't knit.
At least the four youngest have received recompense for the others viewing Narnia.

That wacky weather is why California is so wonderful!! Just closer to Hawaii.
What! You took the little kids to the movies?
Mais oui, ma chère :-)
You really mellow out in middle age.
