No Cavities!

Yes, it be true. Ma and all the kids from Trevor through Sharon have seen el hombre del dentos and have come through with shining colores.

It was another milestone in that Trevor, a tender four-year-old, received his very first clean and check.

*sniff*

He was magnificent.

They called his name and he immediately went toward the door back to the exam rooms, via his maman. I took him back, and when he seemed reticent to get into the chair himself, I got on and let him use me for a chair. (the dentist did the same thing with Nolan)

Then we got to explore the magic of the "rising chair" and the "tickly scrubber" A man of few words in new situations, Trevor said naught, though there was a perceptible nod of the head once or twice.

Sitting with his noggin directly in front of me, I couldn't gauge his expressions, but I could see the little apples of his cheeks balling up and knew he was smiling as the chair went into the air.

He opened his mouth right on cue, and they were almost able to get x-rays, he just couldn't keep his teeth in the "bite position" long enough. (we should have told him, "Pretend your brother is stealing your food...") But that's OK...they don't usually get pics on kids that young.

He willingly allowed his little toothies to be cleaned by the hygienist, and then posed against the wall with sister Carolyn for the 6 month photo. With big sister by his side, he was happy to go to the second chair and climb in all by his lil' ol' self. Got fluoride and even allowed the dentist to look inside his wee little mouth.

They do grow up quickly....
