Brains are good
Without them, it is entirely possible one might travel to one's bank to take care of certain pecuniary matters AND engage in the most vital mission of free calendar procurement, but alas, having left their poor brain at home, returned homeward only to find one had (indeed) forgotten to pick up the calendar which lay quietly at the bank, where one is not currently at, at the moment.
One could bang one's palm against the door frame and proclaim, "I can't believe I for-got...!" but of course, that would be immature and might even cause someone (who shall remain nameless) to laugh at you....I mean, "to laugh at one."
Another good use for brains is in helping one remember to get one's load of clothes out of the dryer be-fore one hops on the treadmill and hears the dryer buzz after just five minutes, which necessitates jumping off the treadmill and going to retrieve one's clothes since it is the delicate cycle and one can't just leave delicates lying in a dryer whose mechanism has ceased, and thus can no longer guarantee wrinkle-free garments, and while one can get some exercise in running down a flight of stairs and freeing said clothes from dryer internment, it is still quite annoying to suddenly be reminded of that which one forgot.
On another note, why is there no companion word to "avuncular?"
Would not "avauntular" be perfectly acceptable?

At first I thought you were going to say you left your checks to be deposited at home. And missing a calendar--that is bad. I never get enough calendars for the new year, though I have friends and family telling me they get far too many. I guess I don't donate to the right causes.
That must be my problem...I don't donate to anybody.
