Barren Snow Dunes
Gentle snow waves lap the land,
snugging up to fence and farm,
cloaking much and hiding more and ever covering all.
Outside shell, shiny bright,
turns away the human gaze
and no one sees what lies beneath the cold and brutal crust.
Comes the dust, grit and grime,
topping perfect frozen layers,
sprinkled on the loveliness, a blemish to the eye.
Only then in sullied form,
can attention now be drawn,
brief and blunt..
interest wanes...
All is desolate.
