Random Note
Just in case you ever do the laundry and end up losing one half of your pajamas, and you don't find it in the bottom of the washer, or in the dryer, or on the dirty basement floor, or on the slightly less dirty addition floor, and your daughter doesn't find it in her laundry the next day, and your 15-year-old son doesn't find it in his laundry, (which is really fortunate, since he already has a heart condition and let's face it...the last thing he needs right now is to find the bottom part of his old-lady-mother's pj's in his laundry basket...I mean REALLY) and then you're lying in bed one night and can't go to sleep and suddenly remember that you washed the pj's with the bedding--yes!...we're talkin' the huge king-size flannel sheets that you had to buy a size bigger than the queen-sized bed because the Comfort-Select people made their queen-sized mattress TOO LARGE to fit with queen-size sheets....
*immense intake of air*
...and that is why you suddenly remember those huge sagging bags on the elasticized ends of the FITTED SHEET and maybe...just maybe your pj's were stuck in those fiendish things and hadn't you better look in the morning?
And so you do.
And they are there.
Ironically enough, on your husband's side of the bed, which he never discovered since he doesn't sleep with his feet hanging over the side of the bed like some tall men do who have to actually sleep diagonally for which you are MOST thankful isn't your particular situation since life is certainly hard enough without your husband having to sleep diagonally, I mean, is nothing sacred fer cryin' out loud?
So the next time you are wondering why God will not let you go to sleep at night just remember....
.....always listen for that still, small voice.
