Another goodsome day

For reasons to be spelled out later, I took myself and Melinda off to shopping. Now, I don't like to brag, but really...IT WAS ANOTHER SUPERB BARGAIN DAY FOR MA :-)

Upon reaching the Goodwill store our eyes read a sign proclaiming, "All green tags $.99."

Well, you might as well throw down your wallets right now and beg Ma for mercy, 'cause ain't NO-body gonna beat these little beauties...

Absolutely NEW items.
On the left, a simple--yet tasteful--turtle neck of prima cotton. Original price? 30 buckaroos. Ma's shell-out? 99 cents ! Moving to the right we see a lovely, chocolate brown oh-so-soft blouse made of 100% silk! Yes, the stuff of worms and Ma is not kidding! Suggested retail price? $40.00. (as in FORTY DOLLAHS) Ma's payoff? Another cool NINETY NINE CENTS!!!

Now let me see....that's 70 dollars of NEW merchandise, for a mere two bucks.

OOOHHHH yeah.

If I were ambitious, I'd sell this stuff on Ebay. But frankly, I find gloating over cyberspace a whole lot more fulfilling.

And speaking of dreams attained, cruising north on the gravel road Melinda glimpsed and called my attention to this heron. We stopped, backed up and for once it didn't fly away :-)

Behold, the Great Blue Heron.


Sure, it took all the zoom in sight, but at least it stood still this time.
