Today's Happenings

• Mulled over plans and decided that: Loren and I will drive out to TN for the funeral, taking Nolan and Trevor with us. Kendra will keep up things on the home front. We'll drive down to Ardith's, stay overnight, and drive on Monday for about 12 hours. The funeral is Tuesday and we'll drive back Wednesday.
  
• Took Derek in for his pro-time, since he was scheduled for one on Monday but we won't be here...NEW TECH, not schooled in the finger-prick method. Derek had to get blood drawn the old fashioned way and we don't know the result
  
• Did touch-up cleaning at the church since there was a Good Friday service on....Friday
  
• Managed to scrape together some lunch
  
• Trimmed three boys' hair
  
• Did weekly shopping early, to supply kids and get food for trip. Picked up 30 dollars worth of clearance clothing for six bucks from Wal-Mart :-D
  
• Came home and took blurry picture of heron flying beside the gravel road 2 miles from house (one of these days I'll get him!)
  
• Came back to news that a bat had been spotted in basement. Pre-heated oven for pizza and went on bat hunt. Found nothing but remained extremely thankful that Loren had fixed up our "laundry room" on main floor, complete with new washer :-D so no one needs to go to the basement to do laundry any more (or even go to the landing to play "hide and seek")
  
• Talked over meal possibilities with Kendra for while we are gone
  
• Threw last load of laundry in washer
  
• Watched "Red Green"
  
• Deftly uploaded a couple pics to TWO editing programs and reassigned them to folders for Sunday posting (I hope)
  
• Found an old dress in the closet that will actually fit me for Sunday church
  
• Organized all my vitamins for the week
  
• Blogged, finally (by the way, our wireless is back!)
  
• Congratulated self
  
• Went to bed
