Ah is home !

Just a note to say Ma is safely back in good ol' Ioway :-)

Looks like it's been raining kangaroos from the size of swollen creeks and flooded fields I observed exiting the highway.

I drove through a fair amount of rain, particularly around Chicago...always a fun spot to be past.

Let me assure everyone that I was able to utilize each of the 9 wiper speeds, thus fulfilling another lifelong dream.

It is quite possible that a new record was set, as I arrived back in a mere 7 hours and 15 minutes.

Might I add for those possible skeptics who do not believe in Ma sense of law-abidingness...

-It is probably a quicker route from Mom's house in Elkhart, than from Warsaw to Iowa. Let's hear it for the Toll Road and missing the congestion of 65 and 80/90 !

-There is NO WAY I went more than one mph over the speed limit, which when compared to the other drivers, is basically the same as 10 below.

The family seems mostly on the mend from their colds. Hugs have been administered, books have been read and the hubby has been updated.

Loren says he kept track of my movements by the incoming notices from the debit card to our online bank account.

(good thing he doesn't know about that secret credit card...)
