Four Old People

Or more to the point, our four oldest kids :-D

Since they aren't living at home at the moment, either for purposes of college, work or actually having a life, I thought it would be nice to send out a smallish update on each.

I'm sure the world wants to know and equally sure the four of them won't mind in the least.

Ardith: Haven't heard a whole lot since the Iowa caucus of early January, when she apparently wowed them by handing in three and a half pages of potential planks. She's still putting up with Jason and I imagine that boy has never eaten so well. Ardith is an excellent cook which just goes to show you that not every homemaking skill (or lack thereof) is handed down from mother to daughter.

Sharon: Has just been retained for another 3 month post with the company she works for. The "temporary" job that was supposed to go from August-September has now stretched through April. Sharon has Kendra over once in a while on the weekend to watch a movie, which is basically why Kendra went to college in the first place. Sharon seems to like winter in Indiana but I don't think we should hold that against her.

Jason: Claims that even though his co-op job has occasional slow periods, "It is still pretty good and frankly, a lot better than being on a ladder or digging a ditch." Yes, that is a quote. He even says working is preferable to being back at school, though I find that hard to believe. Currently he's saving up to buy his dear mother an LCD monitor.

Kendra: In her second semester and has landed an 8-10 hour per week job at the campus grill. I am told that so far she hasn't poisoned anybody, so I think that's a plus. Her first biology exam of the year came back with a 99.75% and she'll probably want to hand in some extra credit assignments to make up that missing .25% (It's alright Hon, I'm sure you tried...)
