My Son, the Reptile
You would think bony-legged boys--who tend to run off their fat quicker than girls--wouldn't want to wear shorts in the winter, but Nolan frequently does.
It matters not that his bedroom is the coldest one in the house or that we've had temperatures in the single digits twice this week.
It especially matters not that I've suggested MOST people wear long pants in the winter.
_______________
Ma: "I need somebody to get the mail..."
Nolan: "I will, Mommy."
Ma: "In shorts? What do you think would happen if I let you go out like that and somebody drove by? They would probably say, 'What kind of a mother would let her kid go out in shorts !?'"
Nolan: "....so, can I go?"
Ma: "Not in shorts. No."
Trevor: "You could put on long pants..." (ah, that's my snarky 'I'm-your-little-brother-and-I'll-make-you-look-bad' Bunny ;-)
Nolan: "....*sigh*....Oh boy..."
