Ma's Newsy "Happy Pi Day" Nuggets
Yes, it's Pi Day again. March 14 or 3.14 as we quaint Americans like to notate our dates.
One does feel sorry for the folks over in Europe and New Zealand and wherever, who will never know the sublime joys of celebrating Pi Day. (pardon my smirking) "Across the pond" and "down under," the month comes second and say now, there ARE no months after the number twelve, thus, they can only come close by celebrating the 12th of December.
I guess.

Now, while most of us don't need the intricacies of 100 decimal places of Pi to run our lives, small things can run or ruin them, nonetheless.
Take this mouse which delayed a plane for five hours in Des Moines.
It figures.

How would you like to return home to a news conference announcing your death? What I want to know is...who's gonna pay for the decking that was ripped up to look for the bodies?
That'll never happen to us for the following reasons:
1) Loren and I won't be free to leave on a last minute getaway for another 13 years.
2) By the time we contacted all the kids ahead of time, the weekend would be over.
3) It would be nearly impossible to find a nature preserve located right next to a technology fair.

Well what do you know--I'm actually celebrating one of the holidays on your blog. :) A college friend of mine who's a senior, is inviting people over to her Kent apartment to eat the pies she's making.
