If you're going to have appointments....

...you may as well jam them all into the same day.

The six-month dental checkups were slightly past due, so I called and arranged for all of us to get cleaned and scraped at the same time, to save gas (25 minutes away).

By "all" I only mean myself and six kids.

ANYWAY, the first available date was the 26th of June, which coincidentally happens to be the same day I'd scheduled Melinda's first appointment with the cardiologist in Iowa City (2.4 hours away).

Theoretically though, if the dental appointments start at 8am, and the cardiology appointment is for 3pm, we should still be able to make it...right?

THEN Kendra reminded me that she hadn't seen the cardiologist since she was 15 (oops), so I called back and they had room for her at 2:30.

I think this will work. I may have to have Loren meet me in Iowa Falls and trade vehicles, but I think this will work.

Could be a three-coke day, though.

The only thing missing would be more appointments in a place called Iowa Rapids...except, there IS no Iowa Rapids.

I'll have to be content with hitting Iowa Falls and Iowa City on the same day.
