No Cavities!
Not bad, for six kids and a Ma who likes chocolate.
Of course, there's something about 8am appointments that goes against the grain. But that's not quite as bad as being asked if you can come in at 7:30, instead.
I am such a pushover!
Really....WAY too easygoing.
Melinda got up at 5 and I arose at 5:30 and let me tell ya, WE ARE NOT GOING IN THAT EARLY, EVER AGAIN.
Of course there is the usual feeling of teeth being worked over, as though small hammers were applied to the gums. I cannot bite down with my left, back jaw, but I'm sure I'll be opening tin cans with my teeth again, by tomorrow morning.
Trevor had a little unexpected excitement. The dentist showed me something they'd been watching (they, as in, not telling me until today), concerning an adult tooth that was coming in and had gotten stuck on a baby tooth. They asked if they could pull the baby tooth, which would allow the adult tooth to come in, and then he'll have to have a spacer put in to keep it from covering up where the other adult tooth will erupt. I said yes and at that moment, unbeknownst to me, they gave the little guy (who was in a chair across the room) a shot of anesthetic.
Oh yes, they are good.
It was all done in a flash and he was fine until he saw me, and then he got a little teary. But he did quite well and even got an extra toy, causing Nolan to exclaim SEVERAL times, "That is so unfair!"
I offered to take him back so HE could get a tooth extracted, and Nolan looked as though he were giving it serious consideration.
After we got home I went back to bed for an hour, then we tried to eat without chewing too much...
THEN I went out and mowed with our NEW (used) mower...
The Lean Green Lawnboy-of-Power
It has a few features that aren't perfect, but it goes a loooonnng time before the gas runs out, not to mention, IT DOESN'T DIE ALL THE TIME!
Loren got two identical ones on Ebay from a guy in Aplington. Together they cost $71.00.
Can you believe that?
This calls for another chocolate, to celebrate :-D
