Remorse (or lack thereof) Revisited
Thought it might be good to tag onto last night's short note concerning Nolan.
(see previous post)
After sensing he "just didn't get it," I observed him lying prostrate on the couch, face toward the wall, not unlike a certain OT king.
This prone attitude pretty much clinched my suspicions (see above sentence) and I decided on a judgment I hadn't utilized in a while, writing sentences.
Oh I've heard that "studies" report no beneficial effects, but I wonder...
I had told him to write, "I will not sulk" 25 times, though he may have heard it as "20." At any rate, around 19 or so, he started to get creative:

Now really, what's not to love?
It almost seems as though he has some sense of remorse, as well as a desire to do right, at least, when he's not all hot-headed and mad.
And I figured he just left out a word on that last line, so I showed it to him and he was surprised that it read as it did.
We parted on good terms for the evening.
