The Mark Hoyt Report

Pretty good, it is!

Mark was scheduled to come home from the hospital, today. That's just over one week post transplant.

And when I say home, I mean home.

Apparently it's different then our experience at Mayo. Loren had to stay within 30 minutes of the clinic for 3 months. Though we did get to go home for Christmas Day, which was approximately 8 weeks post transplant.

I think I'm a little jealous of Mark and his family :-)

It's amazing how one can go home after such a huge operation. The doctors said everything has gone 'bout as perfect as possible.

I think the nurses and staff will miss him, though.

Hmmmm, wonder how many families have two heart transplantees among the siblings....

Well, Mark and Lauri Anne will be busy going to lots of appointments for the first weeks. But at least they can be with family again.

Pretty great day for them, I'd say....thanks be to God.
