Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

Of Songs and Sonnets

Another zero rejection biopsy! You can't complain about that. We did not hear the results until this morning, though.

Life goes on. Another rehab session, with Loren feeling pretty decent throughout and afterward. No gold star was awarded. I guess the trainers don't want their victims peaking too soon.

We had a smidge of entertainment down in the "living room" this evening. A gentleman was playing the concertina. He wasn't a professional, but it was a change of pace, and a chance to get out of this room. It reminded me of sitting around with the kids on a Saturday night, watching Lawrence Welk. He played the usual numbers, "It's a Small World, " and "Beer Barrel Polka." He took some requests and folks sang along on many. One of the sisters came in to listen after he had been going awhile, and SHE requested "Beer Barrel Polka," so he played it again :-) Then he started into one with, "I'm not even going to tell you what it is....just sing along." Well, it turned out to be,"You Are My Sunshine." That's the song I used to sing to Trevor, all the time. I just about lost it. I was doing great until I heard that song.....

I need get my mind on something else.

There are a lot of people traveling in the next few days. I pray for everyone to have a safe trip, and wonderful times with their loved ones.

SONNET 91
Some glory in their birth, some in their skill,
Some in their wealth, some in their bodies' force,
Some in their garments, though new-fangled ill,
Some in their hawks and hounds, some in their horse;
And every humour hath his adjunct pleasure,
Wherein it finds a joy above the rest:
But these particulars are not my measure;
All these I better in one general best.
Thy love is better than high birth to me,
Richer than wealth, prouder than garments' cost,
Of more delight than hawks or horses be;
And having thee, of all men's pride I boast:
Wretched in this alone, that thou mayst take
All this away and me most wretched make.

Shakespeare

In this case it sounds like "no news is good news". Sounds like God is doing a real healing in Loren. "As the prayers go up the healing comes down" or does that kids song say "The prayers go up and the blessing come down" Either way it works!
Just think in about another 10 years this will all be a distant nightmare.....and will be covered up by all the fulfilled dreams on the next 10 years. A good verse for Loren to help him through those exercise times is
"Pressing forward to win the race set before me" He may not get a gold star from his trainer but he sure did from God and probably his lovely wife too.
Looking forward to reading more creative writing.
