It Takes a Walk, to Raise a Lather
We arose this morning and immediately, a small dilemma presented itself. Loren pulled the last clean pair of socks out of his drawer.
As I saw it, there were two options. I could do the laundry, or I could purchase new socks for the man. I chose the former. (or, as they say in español, "aquél")
But first, I needed quarters. Lots and lots of quarters. And before that, I needed one dollar bills. Now, in order to get the dollars, I had to visit a store, paying for merchandise with the debit card. In that way, I could get "cash back," wheedling a few ones from the clerk in the process.
But, indeed, how to get to the store. The car? Or walk? After a quick consultation with my live-in meteorologist, the way seemed clear. No "Ma" of hardy stock could refuse a walk in the comfort of 25 degrees. 'Twas only a mile. And so, as did Caesar, "Fuí, Compré, Lavé." (I went, I bought, I washed:-)
And thus ends the tale of how "Ma" went for a walk, and ended up doing the laundry.

I think it's genetic.

Good Morning Becky!
Well, we've started school again today. I let the kids have snow days last week....something we normally don't do!
We enjoyed the Von Trapp *ahem excuse me* the Hoyt children as they did special music for the church service and again for the nursing home service. Such harmony of parts! Trevor joined the crew for the nursing home selection simply because he wouldn't let go of Kendra :-). Nolan was sitting at a table with some ladies from the nursing home just taking it all in...
Have a good day!
Debbie
