Ready to Go!
Al-RIGHTY. Ma should be going to bed, but now I am just a little hyper and need a quick posty fix.
We are pretty much packed, with a list of last minute things to do tomorrow. I used to make extensive lists and check off each item, but now I just fly by the seat of my brains. After rushing up to Mayo for emergencies last year, I pretty much keep a "miscellaneous" bag packed all the time. And after two long trips earlier this year, the kids have finally gotten down that all-important concept: "One clean pair of underwear and socks for each day....that's all I ask, fer cryin' out loud."
Finished all my cleaning at the church, except washing the windows. *sigh* Well, I just don't do windows when it's dark. I say, let's give little rags to all the lady bird beetles and let them swipe away their own slime. They certainly manage outstanding coverage of all the glass doors....
I have never finished cleaning on a Wednesday night. Usually, I don't even start until Thursday. Saw the Pastor Jack leaving and he commented, "So, with the bathrooms all clean, I guess you want them to remain in pristine condition?" "That's right. Nobody is allowed NEAR them."
*good-natured laughing all around*
(Heh, heh...what he doesn't know is that I've installed motion detector lights near all four restrooms. Somebody comes within five feet before Sunday morning and lights flash and alarms go off...."WEE-OOOO, WEE-OOOO, WEE-OOOO.....!")
Man oh man, ya just gotta love this age of technology.
Then, sweet bliss to come home and have a quick prayer and long hug with Carolyn, who has an exceptional capacity to miss Mommy. AND, I got to see the last 2 innings of the play-offs, with the Astros winning 5 to 1.
All's well. I can go to bed, now. Tweet
