And so another milestone has rolled. The college shopping trip for the first male has been completed.

*starts adding up receipts......*

Well there's really no point in being too....*cough*....precise, since there were several mitigating factors:

• Boys don't get college dorm showers like the females at church do, so Jason needed EVERYTHING.
  
• I felt it was high time the guy had his first actual suit. Something other than the standard Goodwill fare--donated by a largish 70 year-old, 50 years ago. Goodwill just doesn't have a lot of selection for men, since males never get rid of their clothes. Females on the other hand, discard unwanted clothing in vast quantities, at regular intervals. (I would also like to state that I walked right past the Armani suits to something fairly reasonable, which then had a 40% discount added to it. (I think I said that right...)
  
• If Jason were fatter, I'd have had more selection.
  
• The extra long sheets, required by LeTourneau, cost money, though I did get his on sale. (One set, buddy. That's all you get.)
  
• I figure we'll make up the extra cost in food savings after he's been gone three weeks.
  
• The fact that I took the trouble to decide what he would need, COUPLED with the pain of not accompanying him down to college is something too priceless to assign monetary value.
