It takes so little......
....to thrill little kids.
This morning, nine letters arrived in the mail. Nine letters from the same organization. One for Loren, myself, Trevor, Nolan, Ethan, Carolyn.....etc.
Everyone under twelve was ecstatic. "We got a letter! We got a letter !"
It was our local medical facility informing us that one of their PA's had resigned.
So, just to make sure this didn't slip past ANY person in the family, they sent it to EVERY person in the family. (probably a HIPPA privacy thing....)
No matter that some had only been there to get a flu shot, nine people needed to know and by gum, NINE PEOPLE NEEDED A LETTER!
In place of a postage stamp was a little sign:
This brings up a little matter of how a medical facility which lives off our medical insurance (we have personally kept them going for years, now) gets non-profit status....but then, being just a homemaker, I'm not supposed to understand these things.
ANY-way, the youngest youngin's clutched their letters to their bosoms with cherished tenderness.
I may not have to give them Christmas presents, after all.
When asked if he was really going to keep the notice, Ethan replied, "Are you kidding? It's got phone numbers on it!"
*makes mental note to give Ethan an old phone book for his birthday*
*makes mental note to keep an eye on the phone....*
p.s. Jason, you received one also. Do you want me to send it to you, or just read it over the phone during one of your MANY calls home?
