Tales of a two-day post
Another Library Day......another five forgotten books
Time was precious. We left at 2 p.m. Allowing for 30 minutes to, between and home from the libraries, that left us with just 45 minute allotments AT each library, plus a small amount of flex-time.
It was going to be close.
First stop, Hampton. Everything proceeded according to schedule, though we were momentarily distracted by falling snowflakes upon exit.
(notice the "15 minute parking" sign? I think that's for speed-readers....)
Travel to Iowa Falls proceeded in a timely manner, with minor wind buffets.
Dropping off the older kids and books, I took the youngest three boys to the grocery store to lay in a supply of milk for the weekend. I only had to say "No" three times and Trevor did make slappy noises with his tennis shoes, but all in all, it was quite tolerable.
Back to the Iowa Falls library, where it was not long until the librarian brought me five books belonging to the Hampton library.
"AARRRRGGHHH" We were just there....(never mind, it'll be alright)
A quick pose by Trevor in his Bob the Builder shirt.
I bought it at Goodwill several months ago, and he's been waiting all summer to wear it :-)
Home again, home again, smelling the hogs,
as the (formerly green) tankers lay down dark goo on the field across the road....and yes, we are downwind :-(
And while I applaud this use of leftover manure from the hog lot lagoons (doesn't that just conjure up a Peter Pan image?)
this does wear a little thin.....*checks watch*.....after 2:00 a.m.
And no, I don't care who knows that I am ticked, since I am running Kendra down to Cedar Rapids tomorrow (I mean later, THIS) afternoon for el biggo testo SATo on Saturdayo. It appears I will have to take el nappo before I gogo....which brings up a whole nuther issue....that of how to determine the pseudo Spanish ending for the verb, "to go....."
Obviously, someone needs to (try to) go to bed.
