Another new product for incredibly lazy slobs
Some of the most interesting pictures come from grocery stores.
I don't usually do grocery shopping on Saturdays, but then, we don't usually have 6 plus inches of snow forecast for the day I DO go shopping...Monday.
The thought of significant snowfall got me to thinking of running out of milk and eggs. And of Pa Ingalls slogging across the prairie and getting hit by a blizzard and having to hole up in a cave and survive by eating all the Christmas candy.
So of course I figured, "Hey, if anyone is going to get stranded with nice foodstuffs to eat, it oughtta be me."
That, and a necessary errand saw me back in town and at the grocery store, for the second time this week.
It was there that I found myself face to face with yet another example of how slothful Americans have become...
Apparently, slicing cheese has become SO arduous, that Kraft is doing it for us.
And at only $1.99 for six whole ounces!
WHOOO-EE! Be still, my beating and decrepit heart.
I can buy twice that weight in a single block of cheese for the same price.
More importantly, that amount of money is nearly enough to buy a whole bag of Dove's Dark Chocolates!
One has to wonder where the food-consuming priorities of the public have gone...
In the meantime, I've decided to make one more adjustment to my diet. I'm following the lead of daughter Sharon and incorporating green tea into my daily regimen.
Sharon swears by it--in the most figurative way, of course--and I figure, if I drink it, I might be able to speak French, Spanish and German, too.
It's worth a try.
And it's much cheaper than cracker-shaped cheese pieces.

Wow, that's great. I always have trouble with cutting block cheese. *goes to buy some* :-D
I am so shocked....
...I may have to go lie down.
Shocked that I am a lazy slob? Don't be, it's pretty well known. ;D
Green tea isn't sworn by for weight benefits, correct? I used to drink a ton of that stuff...haven't had any for awhile. :-) It's really good.
Well, I'm hoping it might have a weight-loss effect. Even if it's only slight, I'll TAKE it.
Also, I was feeling like I was coming down with the cold Saturday night, and after drinking a cup of tea I honestly felt almost normal!
So far, I've had two cups today and I think I'm starting to feel smarter....
:-D
Oh good, someone else to drink and enjoy green tea!
Actually, it is thought that green tea helps weight loss. See, for example, http://ezinearticles.com/?Facts-on-Green-Tea-and-Weight-Loss&id=381657
In the for-what-it's worth department, after I had included this information in a Christmas letter (can't remember exactly why it was relevant), a cousin wrote a year later to say she had started drinking green tea and had lost around 30 pounds.
