Storm a comin' !

Yes, and it looks like we may not dodge this baby.

1/4 to 1/12 inch (up to 1.24 c.) accumulation of freezing rain/ice, to be followed by "significant" accumulation of snow. Right now we are in the 8-12 inch band (20-30 c.). Guess we'll see how it all sifts out.

Forty mph wind gusts are expected ALL weekend, with the storm warning officially going into effect tonight (Friday) through Sunday evening.

It's gonna be a long weekend. But don't worry, Ma has extra milk and eggs and all the necessities.

Already we have seen a casualty! The bird-feeder blew over. Yes, the wrought-iron big hunk of a heavy thing on the south side of the house....blew over. Thankfully, due to my crafty placement and slanting of its base away from the house, it hit the grass and not one of the bay windows.

Maybe I can get the kids to take turns holding it up....

In medical news, Derek's latest pro-time was 2.0. From Tuesday to Thursday it went from 1.3 to 1.5. From yesterday it jumped up a whole half. So he has to have it tested again to-morrow, otherwise who knows WHERE it would be by Monday.

Loren travels up to Mayo for another heart biopsy on Monday. Travel is supposed to take place on Sunday, which could be tricky with this ol' storm and all. They could have as much as 18 inches up that-a-way. But who knows....the weatherman has been wrong before.

Then again, this is the first time my bird feeder has blown over, so...yeah.

Must go lay down. Trevor gets to celebrate his birthday tonight, and I have a little work at the church before the massive food preparation takes place. Yes, my head still hurts, but I did make it through the night without having to get up and take any more pills before breakfast. However, I think the time has come for more....
