March Holidays

Yes I know we're half-way through the month already! Where has Ma been for the past 15 days?

She has little recollection which is one of the reasons she blogs every day.

And you thought I was just a narcissistic egomaniac.

NATIONAL NOODLE MONTH!

Yes, I know...exciting stuff!

Sorry about those special March days that were missed, like Multiple Personalities Day (5th), National Crown Roast of Pork Day (7th) and Worship of Tools Day (11th)

And what about right now, the 15th?

Well of course it's the Ides of March. March is named after the Roman God Mars, but I don't think this prohibits Christians from owning calendars, any more then it is evil for us to own Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners, of which I have one....but I'd better not get started down THAT trail...

This famous Roman note also reminds me of my mom's birthday, for my dad always remembered it by way of this little ditty he made up,

"Ides of March plus eight,
Birthday of my spouse and mate."

The Whistle Stop Cafe in Georgia, where "Fried Green Tomatoes" was filmed! Yes, Ma was there. I might possibly have even blogged about it. Maybe.

So let's all go out and do something nice for the buzzards in our lives.

On a totally unrelated note, I have one more reason for hating on sickness....Ma has to do all the "make-up" chores for kids who are too ill to perform them.

Hmmm, my ears are starting to pop. I wonder if that means anything...
