Various Updates

Travelers: Loren and Kendra arrived safely in Warsaw last evening where they bunked with our friends the Tysons, the family which is boarding Sharon for her last semester.

Sharon will take Kendra over to the Grace campus later this afternoon where she'll register and get set up with the scheduled activities for the next few days. There's a whole itinerary and Kendra will be staying with Sharon's roommate from her freshman year.

Loren had several possibilities in mind and after a flurry of calls he was finally able to nail down a chance to visit his dad in Dayton, Tennessee. The only change of plans being that it will be in the local hospital, for Lowell Hoyt was taken there this morning after awaking with a cough. Don't really know what's going on but will keep people informed as I find out.

So please pray for Loren's dad, Lowell Hoyt. His wife Rebecca was the one mentioned a few weeks back with the broken arm and cracked pelvis.

Also for safe travel for Loren as he gets into TN later this evening.

The Homefront: We're doing fairly well, health-wise. No new cases of colds, just continued recovery from the already stricken ones. Carolyn banged up her foot again, breaking several toes. The same ones as happened before, so she is hobbling about right now.

As usual, Ma was called upon to perform the "pullin' o' the toes," which quite frankly makes me cringe but seems to help the afflicted.

Despite having extra chores thrust upon me by certain people leaving or becoming ill, I remain my usual sweet and utterly bitterless self, untiringly loading the dishwasher or making bread, and always with a cheerful smile and meek and quiet spirit.

Mais oui.

Also, I've been playing my latest CD acquisition, "The Irish Tenors."

A LOT.

Anthony Kearns est très excellent and now I have no choice but to amass all of his recordings :-D
