Life in the Ditch

First walk out-of-doors this spring. Boy did it feel great !

I love this old barn (or is it a corn-crib?) which is just down the road.


I found several wildflowers which couldn't be identified...
...but I can safely say this is violet.

Weird, short _grass-like stuff. I think it comes from outer-space.


Hey, I know what THIS is...corn, going off into infinity.


In other news, we are enjoying the visit from Bruce and Lois. A few forays into meaningful discussions already, and it's less than 24 hours :-D

The kids and I find a ready ear in Lois, PLUS, she folded my laundry for me this morning :-) (though I will miss the exercise of coming downstairs in my robe every morning, just to find clean clothes)

Loren and Bruce are hot into several endeavors: finding out if those red lights that come on in the car mean anything. Anything serious.

and,

Trying to build a laptop out of spare parts.

And in an attempt to engage in appropriate counter-balancing activity, I planted the last of my bedding flowers this afternoon.
