This-N-That

I dreamed about trying to kill bats last night. Unlike most dreams, this one will probably come true. Not that I will be telling the DNR or anything.

Must have happened just before I woke at 3:00am. That's the second or third time in a week and I foresee a major overhaul of myself, including the usual "Oh yeah, it's time to lose weight again."

Getting psyched up so it shouldn't be a horrible endeavor. (that'll be enough laughing, Loren...) SO glad I hung onto my fat pants. Getting tired of food in general though, so really, it'll be a "go" this time.

I'll be following the protocols of a cyber-person who only weighed himself once per week, sparing the World Wide Web in general of my emotional outbursts and whining. So if there are any pathetic rants, they'll only come once per week and be incredibly huge. (just a little diet humor, there...)

After my nap--which should ensure more sleeplessness tonight--I still had time to finish off the last section of Godzilla vs Mothra with the younger kids. (a device employed in part so I could take the nap)

Boy oh boy! If you have not seen a Godzilla movie....well, it's just hard to explain. The lameness, the terrible English dubbing, the horrendous special effects. They all add up to something so very bad that it becomes good, then terrible, and finally lands at "so-indescribable-it's-good-again."

Trevor and Nolan love it. There's just something about fake dinosaur-like creatures that appeal to gullible little boys.

PLUS, wile searching for the above link, I found an online forum that discusses Godzilla and Mothra's relationship!

And people say America's literary and cultural proclivities have regressed.

This morning I drove Kendra over to highway 20 to meet up with her ride to Muscatine. From there they meet up with another girl who'll drive out to Winona Lake, 2nd semester and more delicious afternoons in the chem and biology labs. Hopefully we'll receive word that they've arrived in another hour or two.

That takes care of her, and Jason is safely tucked into Ardith's basement, no doubt preparing mentally for his first day of work on Wednesday.

Unfortunately for him, Ardith had other plans.

Hmmm. I do believe the daughter may be executive material :-D

I, on the other hand, am the "certain people" referred to in the next-to-last link...

...which fits in nicely with my royal plural persona.
