I've been trying to change the blog template to reflect a better site for donating to tornado relief in Parkersburg...but so far Silly Blogger will not let me change it...

Now, you may have already seen this on the evening news, but in case you didn't, here's a view from the security camera of an ATM outside the Bank in Parkersburg...it gives a unique look at destructive winds hitting the house across the street...


And here's what it looked like inside the bank...


Aplington/Parkerersburg Schools decided to simply end the school year. They hope to have a new building in a year.

There are 150 National Guardsmen staying in town to help with cleanup and protect form looters. No one is allowed into town unless they have some official business.

Here's a fourth-hand account of one man, who talked to someone at church, who in turn told the story to Loren:

The man had just barely gotten into his basement when the tornado hit. He looked up and saw his house taken away. A few moments later he saw two cows fly over...
