Waiting for Kendra
Kendra is on her way to Iowa! Traveling home for Fall Break, she is. Ma will meet up with her ride around Dike...that small town in the middle of cornfields, unsurrounded by water.
(reminds me of 'Ackley,' named for a man who never even lived here)
What other news? Boy...I wish I could let you in on the Hoyt family emails. Twenty or so contiguous ones in the past few days, concerning elections stuffs. Most interesting.
But alas, you'll have to marry into the family or somethin'. There are still several eligible guys and gals, so just let me know and Ma will see what she can work out...
In other news, Melinda's and my LAST evening class is coming up next Tuesday. After that it'll be one long Saturday at Ames and then Woo HOO, Master Gardener, here we come! Well, after a mere 40 hours of volunteer service, the first year.
The class has been quite interesting, but I'll be glad to have that part concluded. I don't always feel comfortable leaving my family at home. First of all, I have to act as though I hate it so they won't feel like I'm having too much fun.
What this world really needs is a good method of temporary suspended animation. There are SO MANY situations where it would come in handy:
Don't know what to fix for supper? No prob, just put the gang into suspended animation. (you can go out to McDonald's while you plan a meal)
Want to go out with the hubby but there's no baby-sitter available? Bingo...suspended animation. (put HIM into S. A while you drive, and then you can listen to whatever radio station you want :-)
And my personal favorite--politicians doing annoying things? Presto, chango...SUSPENDED ANIMATION! (nothing would get done, but then again, that's not so very different from reality)
Which reminds me...I really must get back to work...

Hahaha, 20 political emails. Reminds me of the little exchange that I've been witness to. A friend sent me a video called "Obama, Who Are You?" and then an Obama supporter hit "reply all", and then someone else hit reply all, so a few people have been going back and forth letting half the town read their arguments. I find it amusing.
