Needing of the Prayers

Heart is a little heavier than usual, tonight.

We received word that Loren's younger brother, Mark, is in the hospital.

He was getting a new battery for his ICD and involved in this procedure is testing to see if the device will take him out of a bad rhythm.

So they induced V-tach and his device did not convert him back to sinus. He had to be shocked externally, three times.

Since that kind of experience means he is not stable enough to return home, Mark has been transferred to a hospital in Dallas.

Hopefully the ball can get rolling again for consideration of a transplant. Although I hear they have a few more stop-gap measures on the table, as well.

Mark and his family definitely need prayer.

Also learned, just a few moments ago (via to Facebook), a mother of ten children out in California has just suffered a stroke and is in the hospital.

MoM, as Lisa Gullman (in California) calls herself, is a sweet, Christian lady who has battled a rare blood cancer and undergone a bone marrow transplant, earlier this year.

MoM has been good to our family, sending out gifts and encouragement during Loren's bouts with heart problems.

I would surely appreciate prayers for Lisa and her family.
