Carolyn gets baptized
The setting: a woodsy acreage wherein a river conveniently meanders.
The occasion: baptism for six, ranging in age from 10 to about 20 (I think)
I half expected Pa and Ma Wilder to emerge from the woods with Reverend Alden and the rest of the congregation, singing the aforementioned song. (wasn't that the only "hymn" ever sung on the "Little House on the Prairie" ?) Most of that daydream was dispelled when the guy on the jet ski roared past :-) After the second time, he did not return, and the dunking commenced.

Well, maybe that's why he didn't come back after the second time....I don't know what he thought was going on, a cultish ritual, perhaps? :-)
As to the watch, I noticed that, too.

Yes, it was a blessing to see all of them get baptized. :) Jim takes great pictures. :D (Credits to the photographer too. ;)) By the way, it makes me very happy to get many comments. And yes, I need more if they're from you. ;)
Just for clarification's sake, we should point out that "Jim" is a camera. (mine)
"Bob" being Elizabeth Currier's camera. And, when she introduced "him" to me, I felt compelled to introduce mine to her, and...really.....now I feel I have sunk to a new low....
But, above all, we must keep in mind that the real power behind "Jim," is little ol' moi :-D

Young people today just don't know what they've missed in the realm of commercial culture.
Tell Carolyn congradulations on her baptism. It is a joy to see your kids making such a choice. Making the faith we as parents know and feel...their faith that they will rely on for the years to come. May God richly bless your family as all the kids learn to grow in faith under your guidance
