What I learned today....

• Diet Vanilla Coke is bad. Very, very bad.
  
  
• There is no Dove's Dark Choclate to be had in Iowa Falls. That is sad. Very, very sad.
  
  
• I can make my very own bulleted (unnumbered) list! I am smug. Very, very smug.
  
  

As to the first item on the unnumbered list: I only bought vanilla because my favorite grocery store was out of the cherry, and I was too cheap to travel back across town to the more expensive store. However, upon tasting it, I quickly came to the conclusion that this was not a possible substitute. In fact, I could not finish the can. I had Kendra stop the car and I poured it out as a humble sacrifice onto the gravel road. I'm thinkin' around seven ants were sacrificed. They looked humble, too. Going belly up does that to an ant....

Following that, there was nothing left to do but cleanse the palate with a Dove's Dark Chocolate. One of a dwindling number.

Having determined not to make that same mistake this week, I made sure I procured the needed beverage before our last stop, El Cheapo Grocerio. Naturally, I paid more for it, and then found it at my regular food mart. (really, you just can't win, sometimes) As to the extra cans of vanilla Coke, I think I can palm them off on some unsuspecting folk at church. (it's time to find out JUST WHO reads the blog...)

Concerning item #2 of the unnumbered list, I have this to say...."Has the whole world gone mad?!" Do they not know that this is part of Loren's medicinal regimen? Not to mention, ME. The fact that chocolates have been disappearing in increasing numbers of late only points to the fact that some of us need more "medicine" than others....*delicately dabs corners of mouth* Loren will have to content himself with Hershey's Special Dark Bar this week. As for me, I may as well hit the diet train again. Starting tomorrow. And you know what that means.....pig out tonight!

For the last bullet on the list....what can I say? It is never too late for an old Ma to learn new tricks. After I master HTML, I plan on tackling C++, Fortran, and then, who knows? Maybe even Vulcan, or something.
