What are these men doing?

They are.....

A. Discussing novel ways to get rid of a troublsome deacon?

B. Being unselfish in deciding who digs first to find the missing electrical line? ("You try first, Charles..." "No, Pastor, you go ahead....")

C. Making a brave attempt to save money in excavation?

D. Starting an earthworm farm to supplement Pastor's salary?

Give up? Okay. Our church broke ground today for the addition onto the west side. (siding has already been removed...it doesn't usually look that tacky :-)

Memorable moments include:

• CHILLY weather
  
• Attendance by Allison's mayor
  
• Pre-dug ground to make the actual "ground-breaking" staged....I mean EASIER
  
• Terry Jensen in a suit coat *waves to Terry and grins*
  

With the addition, bathrooms can be included on the main level, making it much easier on folks who are not as spry as ol' Ma. There should be extra room in the basement for eating and such. Currently, we have to rearrange seating and set up tables in the back of the auditorium when we have fellowship meals. (fortunately, we have padded chairs, and not pews, or this process would be extremely time consuming...)

Unaccountably, despite my VAST experience in ditch digging, no one has contacted me concerning digging out the new basement or anything. I suppose that's the reason for the excavator sitting in the lower parking lot.

*sigh*

Never mind. I have official duties of my own, this coming week......
