Out Ioway

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and earth,
He will not let your foot slip-
He who watches over you will not slumber.

The Absurdities of Nature....and other disappointments

It was hard enough to believe I was seeing snow on the way home from shopping this evening...but it would seem we are under a WINTER STORM WATCH for tomorrow.

*sigh*

Increasingly of late, I feel like curling up in a warm bed until...oh...about March 20th.

Kendra, who was driving me and two other children home this evening, dared to doubt my announcement of snow. If that's all the better she can see, maybe she shouldn't be driving........However, I have PROOF that I was not imagining things.

This, plus the fact that Wal-Mart, once again, had NO DOVE'S DARK CHOCOLATES, has left me in.....well....left me in a rather dark mood. I may be forced to go on a diet, which is just one indication of how desperate things have become.

I did notice they had several boxes of "Buck the Singing Trophy." Things have come to a pretty pass, when lame ruminants have precedence over nuggets of serotonin.

I'm gonna have to check in to ordering direct from the company.....

Around here, tomorrow's high is supposed to be 72°F. A week ago, we were at 85°F.

I don't want to hear any complaints about cold weather.

Considering that Ardith lives a couple of HOURS from us, and that our news channel's weather radar was CLEAR for our area when we got home, I don't hold that as proof.

Wilson, I wouldn't mind the cold, if only it didn't BLOW so hard for most of the winter. You can't even measure the snowfall, since most of it is going sideways...

Kendra....I know what I saw, and I saw what I know. Besides, your little brother Ethan thought it was snowing, too. Surely you wouldn't doubt he who claims to see our mailbox from two miles away, would you?

Radar is nice, but not infallible.

Yes well, Ethan's been known to exaggerate before and has been very willing to echo the opinions of others as frequently.
