Reflections on this morning

-reveling in the luxury of warm toes....and knowing that it will be the last time said toes are warm, until approximately 1 hour after going to bed again.

-rising very early
----to be prepared for the day in case....
------"Higher Authorities" call saying all is accomplished for Loren to come in to work
----exercising (in case they call)
----shoveling a path to the car (in case they call)
----taking pictures of the cold, cold dawn... as long as I'm up (which I am, because they might call)
----packing Loren's lunch (in case they call)

Naturally, they didn't call. At least not until somewhat later to say that the time was not yet ripe.

Apparently, there are anywhere from 4 to 8 steps in getting Loren reestablished with his company (who shall remain nameless, in case they call).

Each step takes one day to complete. The computer must keep each new bit of information on this troublesome man, and store it overnight. I guess this makes sense to someone. Somewhere.

In comparison, socialism is starting to look productive.

And so, tomorrow--Saturday--we shall once again rise early. Just in case....they call...
