It's a Big, Big Day Up at the Lodge
Finally having worked up the courage to potty-train the Bunny, I commenced with preparatory procedures:
Carolyn is reading books to Trevor who alternately listens and nervously checks on his new garb.

My goal is to get him finished before his fourth birthday later this month. Tweet
- Pulling up the two large area rugs on the main floor. Puddles are so much easier to clean up if they are just that....puddles. Carpets have a shameful lack of puddlebility.
The one in the living room was the hardest. When the older kids realized what I was about, they collected their school books and beat it for the upstairs. (thanks a lot, guys) Ethan remained and a very enthusiastic helper he was. (as a result, he was excused from part of his school and allowed outside to watch Farmer Frey load his semi with corn from the bin)
There being three couches covering said rug, things got a bit tricky. But I found it is possible to prop the underside of one couch on your back, while lifting another and yanking part of a folded rug out while one leg has come off and the springs are poking out the bottom. (by the way, that was the leg of the couch that came off, not mine) Ethan was a big help, and Carolyn pitched in, too.
I am definitely keeping those two kids in the will. Can't say as I've made up my mind about the older ones.....*sniff*
The other rug came out quite easily, as there was only a table and my computer chair resting on it. (well, except for boxes of toys and baskets of clean clothes, which seem to double as drawers for certain people who never fold their laundry...)
At last my Captain Kirk style chair can rest flat on the floor, instead of half-on, half-off the rug. No doubt this will have a positive influence to any future blog posts. - Trevor is placed in the ceremonial training pants and given instruction that:
-he cannot sit on any couches or soft chairs in the living room. He must park in the (wipeable) kitchen chair that has been placed there for his "disposal."
-he gets an M&M if he does something in the potty. ("no, not for just sitting, you have to DO something....") - Sit around and wait for the first accident
