No doubt, this helicopter is ferrying a patient to the hospital or on its way to pick one up. Must have been serious enough to forego the usual racing ambulance. Look familiar, Loren? You may have ridden in this very machine. Twice. I wonder if they told the family that each trip costs 10 grand...

Speaking of wondrous things, have you heard this girl's story? Absolutely incredible. I wasn't even aware this type of surgery existed. But then, I've led a pretty sheltered life. Any knowledge I have in this realm is restricted to defibrillators, weirdly inherited cardiomyopathies and traditional heart transplants.

I do hope the girl and the above traveler had good outcomes.

Thank God for normalcy, eh?
