....on the treadmill.
That's 700 calories....count 'em, 700!!!
OOhhhh baby. Considering those calories, plus the chocolate I didn't eat, plus the low carb ice cream bar/s I didn't eat....I figure a net loss of 1000 calories.
That should just about make up for that meal at Arby's.

It's hard to go that long on the treadmill unless you're watching TV.
It's also very hard to find something mildly amusing and SAFE, in case one of the little kids comes up to use the extra bathroom....
....especially when the small TV only gets two stations.
I've never seen "Office" before, but the last 10 minutes looked just quirky enough to be interesting :-)
After that, I was left with women's college basketball. The Iowa State Cyclones and the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. (or is it Hawks?....I can never remember)
My initial reaction was "BLEAH," but I was soon swept up in the excitement.
I decided to root for the Cyclones, since they were wearing pretty red uniforms and playing against a bigger school (I think). I got this from my dad, who always used to go for the underdogs :-)
Thrilling stuff, especially when your team wins. It almost made me wanna get out there and play basketball, myself..........

......."And now the ball is passed to Ma Hoyt....she dribbles behind her back, fakes to the right, fakes to the right a-gain, and shoots......SHE SCORES!!"
......"The ball is brought into play by the opposing team.....wait....Ma Hoyt has stolen the ball!......she drives to the basket.....she's goes for the lay-up.....one and a half twists with a dunk behind her back !! SHE----SCORES!!"
"Is there anything this woman can't do?? Wait....what's this?....she's going up into the stands.....she's....she's tying a little boy's shoe, and....what now? She's helping a highschooler with his trigonometry lesson!! What dedication to detail....what incredible multi-tasking!!"
"Just a minute.....just a minute, folks.....Ma Hoyt is answering her cell phone....she's taking a call.....no wait, she's taking a conference call from....Ahmadinejad.....Maliki.....AND Whitney Houston!!!!"
"People, it just---doesn't---get any better than this! There's no stopping Ma, now.....ut oh.....what's going on?......she seems to have come to a sudden halt.....I think.....yes, it looks like dust. Dust and clutter, with some dirty laundry thrown in for good measure....."
"THERE GOES THE BUZZER.....awww, what a shame......."
(the next game--against Rutgers--will be broadcast December 16th)
