Good Day

It's been.

Though exhausting.

*slurps more Gatorade after frantically mowing for 1.5 hours*

First there was that explosion of goldfinches this morning :-) The kids have since seen four or more at the feeder...which reminds me, I bought a few "birding" supplies :-D
Let's see...new finch feeder (check), special finch food (check), hummingbird starter kid (harmless impulse buy (check), and regular bird seed (check).

Looks like I'm all set!

"So Ma," you say, "Were those the most exciting buys you made?"

Well since you ask, NO!

At Wal-mart I picked up a little shawl number that was on clearance, 45% off. It goes just spiffy with the clearance fancy dress tank (three dollah) and the long black skirt that I snatched at Goodwill for a whole $.99.

All bought on different days and of different brand names for 11 buckeroos.

Now Ma is all set for a dress ball, meeting royalty or that awards banquet when I win a Pulitzer.

Sometimes it's just nice to get critical purchases out of the way ahead of time.

Also squeezed into the day was Nolan's school, 1.5 hours of cleaning at the church and a few other assorted random items.

But you wanna know the best part of this day? It's almost over! Meaning the 11 day Idiot-proof diet is nearly history...and....and, tomorrow I can have chocolate !!
