The Sandman Cameth

On Labor Day. Nothing like a day off from work to get a little work done.

The fellow who was to deliver our sand didn't have to work for the city of Ackley on Labor Day, so he worked for us!

Fifth and final load being dumped in front of the garage.


Children had to watch from a distance while Loren began distributing the sand into the far corners with the help of Mr. Jensen's skid loader.
It is my opinion that most males are born with a gene that allows true life fulfillment only after having operated earth-moving machines.

Once a fair amount of sand had entered the garage area, Ethan and Carolyn were recruited to smooth each load before the next arrived.

That took place yesterday.

Today Loren used the skid loader to compact the sand.
Ethan was allowed in the garage to give signals when Loren was approaching the walls.
