The Answer is Out There....Somewhere

 
Ma has really been enforcing the computer game-time limits of late, so it was with much joy and appreciation of kid-creativity that my attention was diverted from the televised evening news toward the couch, where Nolan and Trevor had set up some...well, something.
It looked sorta interesting in that it utilized checkers and chess pieces. I also noticed that each corner was occupied by a piece from a United States puzzle. Hmmm...Florida, Nevada, Idaho, and in the corner obliterated by Trevor's head, Illinois.

"What are you guys playing?"

"ZZT."

"ZZT...what's that?"

It's a computer game."

*screams internally*

On the bright side, Nolan later picked up "Nevada," took a close look and said, "Hey, Las Vegas...where that thing about the hotel....the Ricin....you know...."

Go figure.
